Crane Beach Engagement Session - Massachusetts Wedding Photographer

Summer loving had me a blast
Summer loving happened so fast
I met a girl crazy for me
Met a boy cute as can be

Sorry, folks, I can’t think of this session at the beautiful Crane Beach without thinking of Summer Nights by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John for the epic Grease Musical. Lucky though, we were not capturing a summer fling, by any means, as the song implies.

Our beautiful couple, H & T, met at a party in 2016 and after a few years of dating will be making it official in September 2022 at the gorgeous Harbor Lights in Warwick, RI.

Being fans of the beach, they opted for a coastal location. We immediately suggested Crane Beach, our favorite beach in Massachusetts (outside of Cape Cod beaches). This beach not only has a nice and calm ocean with beautiful white sands leading up to it, it’s also full of fun dune trails! There are multiple sand dune loops so you can make it as long or as short as you please. Of course, we had to explore at least one loop during our session.

Some frequently asked questions about engagement sessions at Crane in the summer:

  • How crowded does it get in the summer?  It can get pretty crowded. That’s yet another reason we love photographing at golden hour. By 5 pm EST, crowds are leaving to go to dinner. The beach really empties up at this time.
  • What about greenheads? Will our session be totally uncomfortable because of it? Greenheads are active from around mid-july to early August. Some years are worse than others. It’s definitely something to keep in mind when scheduling your session.
  • What’s the fee, parking and permit situation at Crane? We strongly suggest that our couples purchase passes in advance. It’s super easy and convenient and you can do it right from the Trustees website. Check it out here.

All right ya’ll enough about this, let’s enjoy some beautiful engagement photos, shall we? Here’s to H & T and this beautiful season of their lives. We cannot wait to be with you both again in September. Congrats, you two!!
