An Adventure Exploring Southern Iceland
Wedding season is literally just around the corner, but before we pack our bags to our next destination we thought we’d share this amazing story from December during our winter adventure in Iceland with our dear friends Veronica and Markus.
Both lovers of travel and the outdoors, Veronica and Markus flew in from California to spend a week touring Iceland’s southern coast. They invited us to come along for the ride and we made sure to make it an unforgettable trip.
We began our adventure visiting the Golden Circle and ended our day at the Secret Lagoon in Flúðir. Next morning we packed our bags and hit the scenic Road 1 for a day of waterfall visits, including Skógafoss! We spent day 2 visiting Diamond Beach and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. The Lagoon is formed from the meltwater of Breiðamerkurjökull glacier. Here, the icebergs often end up scattered along the beach just like diamonds. Of course, we couldn’t let the chance of visiting Vik pass us by during our Iceland visit. In fact, we decided to spend two nights here at Hotel Kría. What an amazing stay and time we had.
It’s always an amazing experience to spend time with people that are just as passionate about discovering and exploring new places as we are. Veronica and Markus, we loved our time with you and we can’t wait to do it all over again when we visit you in Cali!
