A Treehouse Elopement in Vermont

There’s probably nothing more magical than Fall in Vermont. Add two people madly in love with each other and a treehouse and you’ve got the perfect combination. As New England wedding photographers, that’s what elopement dreams are made of.

E & V first reached out to us back in January 2021 with plans to elope on their 5th dating anniversary. “We have reached out to one other photographer but came across your page and loved your work so we wanted to see if you guys were available for our date,” their email said. Luckily we were available and the rest is history.

E & V had a simple yet emotional day at the Hideaway Treehouse, a cute little cabin they had stayed at on their first anniversary - how special is that? This hidden gem boasts a porch swing, a stone fire pit, and a huge deck! It’s tucked away in the middle of the woods and it’s a great location for total tranquility.

We met E & V at the Treehouse in the afternoon on the day of their elopement for getting ready photos, private vow reading, and portraits around the property. The surroundings are so magical, we had to take photos there. We arrived a little early to scout the perfect ceremony spot just down the road from where they were staying. It was the perfect little road covered with fallen leaves - a true autumn dream.

After the ceremony, we returned to the treehouse for a toast and cake cutting. Before we left, E & V turned on the firepit and made s’mores. We left as they were just about to put some steaks on the grill for a very special dinner.

We loved the simplicity of it all and were so honored to be a part of such a special day. We hope this inspires you to make your special day all about you. It should be whatever you want it to be; whether intimate, big, simple, or glam. What matters is what makes you happy. New England weddings and elopements are our jam and we’re so lucky to have amazing couples who trust us to be there to capture one of the most important days of their lives. Take a look at the photos below and let us know what you think!
